Breakfast with Santa at Tyndall Air Force Base

On December 5, 2009, Tyndall Air Force Base hosted Breakfast with Santa at the Youth Center. This annual event focuses on Tyndall Airmen and their families and provides them the opportunity to enjoy a morning of food, fun and festivities.

Despite the inclement weather that Saturday, the base had an approximate attendance of 700 people. The 325th Force Support Squadron and a host of volunteers provided a delicious continental breakfast, a variety of arts and crafts, horse-drawn carriage rides, multiple bouncy castles, live entertainment and a gift for each child who came to visit Santa.

Buzz Leonard Subaru of Panama City was the event’s lead sponsor, donating $2000 to the day’s activities. We also provided four display vehicles and had representatives on-site to participate in the event and to thank Tyndall Airmen and their families for their dedication to our country.

This event was a part of the Subaru’s national Share the Love campaign. One of the beneficiaries of this event was the Bay County Humane Society. Other charities included in the national campaign were Habitat for Humanity and the Boys and Girls Club.

Tyndall Air Force Base Winter Carnival

The 325th Force Support Squadron and the Heritage Club hosted the Tyndall Winter Carnival on February 12th from 4-8 pm. Buzz Leonard Subaru is the lead sponsor for the carnival. This year we helped the Squadron provide a snow-machine created 20 tons of real snow for Tyndall kids (and kids at heart!).

In addition to enjoying the giant slide, sledding and playing in the snow, our guests sipped hot chocolate, ate a delicious dinner and even made 'smores for dessert.
